FROM THE CHANCELLOR Breaking New Ground for Our Future Excellent academic facilities are essential to recruiting and supporting quality faculty and students. Our students and donors understand this and have committed to fund several high priority buildings to meet some urgent needs. AWARDS AND KUDOS Institute for Ethical and Civic Engagement Receives Generous Gift A gift of $500,000 will advance development of the proposed CU-Boulder Institute for Ethical and Civic Engagement. The gift will provide funding for future program development and completion of research. The institute aims to establish ethical and civic engagement as a defining characteristic of the CU-Boulder campus. DID YOU KNOW? Libby Arts RAP A new residential academic program in the arts opens this fall in Libby Hall, led by Deborah Haynes, professor of art and art history and director of the program. The Libby RAP offers an interdisciplinary curriculum, including theatre and dance, film studies and visual arts. The new space in Libby includes an art studio, performance dance floor, media room, three smart classrooms and collaborative office space for faculty and staff. |
